In reality, the excavation and masonry of a swimming pool can be carried out without difficulty between November and February in the vast majority of French regions and in Luxembourg \u2013 except for prolonged ground frost (below -5\u00b0C for several consecutive days), in which case the work is simply suspended for a few days, like any major construction site.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Winter even presents often overlooked technical advantages:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The soil is easier to work:<\/strong> Outside of frosty periods, damp autumn or winter soil is often looser and easier to dig than soil hardened by summer dryness.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The garden is dormant:<\/strong> Earthworks inevitably damage the lawn and surrounding areas. Carrying them out in winter, when vegetation is dormant, gives the garden time to recover before spring \u2013 you'll be able to enjoy a restored outdoor space as soon as the weather improves.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The access ways are clear.<\/strong> The trees are bare, the flowerbeds are trimmed, and the paths are cleared. Construction machinery can manoeuvre more easily and cause less collateral damage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Concrete dries slowly but surely:<\/strong> A slow concrete pour at low temperatures is even technically preferable to a rapid pour in high heat; the latter can generate micro-cracks.
